KPA Preservation Nomination

The Kansas Preservation Alliance presents annual Awards for Excellence for Historic Preservation Projects to honor individuals/groups involved in the design and/or rehabilitation of historic buildings and sites across Kansas. Nominated projects must meet the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and the criteria for listing properties in the Register of Historic Kansas Places.

Nominations will close on March 3rd, 2025 at 11:59pm. Awardees will be notified by email by March 19th. Our Awards for Excellence Ceremony will be held at the Beacon in Topeka, Kansas on Friday, May 9th at 11:00am.

Please include mailing addresses with your nomination so all involved parties can be invited to the awards ceremony.

** AFTER SUBMISSION please email information@kansaspreservationalliance.org 16-20 digital photos (minimum 1024 × 768 resolution) illustrating both “before” and “after” the preservation work. Photos shall include overall views, each elevation, and any significant details. Written descriptions shall accompany each photo submitted, with descriptive file names for each photo. Floor plans/site drawings from “before” and “after” are also helpful.
